Biodun Stephen has sent a powerful message to parents who allow their children to take over their parental responsibilities simply because the child becomes the breadwinner of the home
Taking to her Instagram page, the movie producer cautioned parents against relinquishing their authority and guidance to their children due to financial dependency.
She wrote that while life’s circumstances may sometimes cause a child to become the provider, that “should never mean the baton of parenting has been handed over.”
“Indeed, life happens, and a child becomes the provider of a home. But that should never make parents hand the baton of parenting to the said child,” she emphasized.
