British-Nigerian rapper Skepta has called attention to the growing insecurity and injustice in Nigeria, urging the international community to speak up for Nigerians the same way they advocate for other troubled regions around the world.
In a video shared, the rapper reflected on memories from the #EndSARS protests, saying the situation in Nigeria still feels deeply troubling years later.

According to him, Nigerians have consistently used their voices to support global causes and speak against injustice in countries such as Congo, Sudan, Gaza, Lebanon, Iran, and Cuba, but he believes Nigerians also deserve the same level of global concern and solidarity.
He stressed that despite Nigerians being resilient and often appearing strong in difficult situations, the country is still battling serious injustice and insecurity that cannot be ignored.
Skepta said:
“Morning, I just had the memory on my phone when we were at the EndSARS protest on ground and it just got me thinking man. I was like it still feels like there’s just so much injustice still in Nigeria.
“And whenever I can, whether it’s at my shows, verbally, imagery, whatever I can do, we’re going to speak up for injustice at all times. Nigerians, we’re like that as people. Whether that’s Congo, Sudan, Gaza, Lebanon, Iran, Cuba, we’re going to speak up.
“But please help us Nigerians, we need help too. We need people to speak up for us as well. We need to protect Nigeria. There’s so much injustice in Nigeria, we could go on all day.
“So this is my message to the people, that please, I know that we’re resilient and we make everything look good, but we need help too. So please help us, help Nigeria, speak up.”
