Three young girls have been k!lled in a knife attack at a Taylor Swift-themed holiday club in Southport, UK
They have been identified as Bebe King, 6, Elsie Dot Stancombe, 7, and Alice Dasilva Aguiar, 9.
The attack occurred at a dance studio on Monday, July 29.
Eight other children were also st3bbed, with five in critical condition, alongside two critically injured adults, police said.
In a tribute, Bebe’s family expressed their devastation: “No words can describe the devastation that has hit our family as we try to deal with the loss of our little girl Bebe.”
Alice’s family also paid tribute to their “princess“: “Keep smiling and dancing like you love to do, our Princess. Like we said before to you, you’re always our princess, and no one would change that. Love from Your Hero Daddy and Mummy.”
A 17-year-old boy, whose name has not been disclosed, remains in custody on charges of m3rder and attempted m3rder.
Reacting to the tragedy, US singer Taylor Swift said she is “completely in shock” after the “horror” of the knife attack.
Fans of Taylor Swift had raised more than £103,000 by Tuesday afternoon through an online fundraiser for Southport.
Liverpool FC also published a tribute to the victims, with former players Robbie Fowler and Phil Thompson laying a wreath near Hart Space studio. The club stated, “The thoughts and prayers of everyone at LFC continue to be with all those affected by the tragedy.”
Alder Hey hospital in Liverpool, a specialist children’s hospital, admitted seven children from the incident. The hospital confirmed one child has died, with two remaining in critical but stable condition. Their statement read: “The thoughts and prayers of everyone at Alder Hey remain with the children, young people, and their families involved in and affected by yesterday’s incident. We will continue to provide them with all the support we can at this devastating time.”
