Gospel singer Tim Godfrey has penned a heartfelt tribute to Portugal football star Cristiano Ronaldo following the end of his international career
Portugal and their captain were eliminated from the 2026 World Cup in the round of 16 after a 1-0 loss to Spain on Monday night.
In an Instagram post, Godfrey hailed Ronaldo as an absolute legend despite not winning the World Cup.
“As far as I am concerned, even without the cup, you won the world! You are an absolute legend! Thank you for showing up every day! Thank you for teaching the world passion! Thank you for your discipline, dedication, resilience, endurance, focus, courage, and winning mentality!
“Thank you for sharing your gift with the world. Thank you for being a blessing to us (Real Madrid). If you are not MESSI here, put a love emoji for the real GOAT,” he wrote.
