President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has paid glowing tribute to veteran actor, filmmaker and academic, Alagba Kola Oyewo, on the occasion of his 80th birthday, celebrating his immense contributions to Nigeria’s cultural and creative landscape
In a message shared through a social media newsletter, the president described Oyewo as a national treasure and a proud ambassador of Yoruba theatre and indigenous storytelling.
“Oyewo is a veteran thespian and a distinguished cultural icon whose enduring contributions to the growth of Nigeria’s theatre, film, and cultural productions have left an indelible mark on generations of artistes and scholars.”
