Other governors present included Inuwa Yahaya (Gombe), Umar Bago (Niger), Babagana Zulum (Borno), Hyacinth Alia (Benue), Biodun Oyebanji (Ekiti), and Peter Mbah (Enugu), among others. Some states were represented by their deputy governors.

After the meeting, Governor AbdulRazaq told journalists that discussions centered on ensuring peaceful, transparent, and hitch-free primaries following the release of the party’s timetable.

He said the party leadership and governors reviewed the electoral process ahead, with a shared commitment to avoid internal disputes and strengthen unity within the APC.

“We met with Mr President. The timetable for the primaries has been released. We’ve discussed the process moving forward, so that there’ll be free and fair elections, no rancour, and at the end of the process, the party should be one, stronger than ever, heading towards the election,” he said.
