President Bola Tinubu on Thursday visited the Dangote Refinery in Lagos, praising the project as a landmark investment and a defining achievement of the era

“Having inspected the Dangote refinery, which is a great point of reference, a great phenomenon of our time and a massive investment, I want to thank Aliko Dangote,” Tinubu said in a statement issued by the State House.
During the visit, the president also commissioned the newly completed access road to the Lekki Deep Sea Port. He commended Dangote Industries Limited and the contractors for delivering high-quality work.
“I am happy that the Deep Sea Port I initiated as Governor of Lagos State is a huge success today,” Tinubu said. “Users save vast amounts of money using this port because they no longer need to trans-ship their goods.”

He further praised the access road, constructed under the government’s Tax Credit Road Programme, and acknowledged the contributions of Dangote Industries Limited and its subcontractor, Hitech Construction Company Limited.
Aliko Dangote, President of the Dangote Group, expressed gratitude to President Tinubu for his role in conceptualizing and executing the Lekki Deep Sea Port project. He reaffirmed the private sector’s commitment to supporting infrastructure development across the country.
