Trump gives Iran 10-day ultimatum over nuclear deal

US President Donald Trump has issued a stern ultimatum to Iran, demanding a deal on its nuclear programme within 10 to 15 days or warning of “really bad things” if no agreement is reached

Speaking at the Board of Peace meeting in Washington DC, Trump called for a “meaningful” deal, highlighting the significant US military presence in the Middle East.

Iran, in turn, has pledged to respond “decisively” to any military aggression, declaring that all bases, facilities, and assets belonging to any “hostile force” in the region would be considered legitimate targets.

In a letter to the UN Secretary-General, Iran’s permanent mission emphasized that the country does not seek conflict and would not initiate war.

Recent intensive talks between Washington and Tehran in Geneva ended without a breakthrough, heightening tensions in the region. The standoff follows threats from Iran’s Ayatollah, who warned of targeting US warships.
