The national executive committee of the Peoples Democratic Party, under the leadership of Kabiru Turaki, is holding a closed-door meeting with former President Goodluck Jonathan in Abuja
The engagement is taking place at Jonathan’s office in the Maitama district of the Federal Capital Territory.

While details of the discussion have not been made public, sources indicate that the talks are connected to the ongoing leadership crisis within the opposition party as well as broader national issues.
The meeting comes amid deepening divisions within the PDP. In November, a faction aligned with PDP governors, including Bauchi State governor Bala Mohammed and Oyo State governor Seyi Makinde, organised a convention that produced a new national working committee, with Turaki emerging as chairman.
