Actress Bunmi Nelson has spoken about a decision she made that she wishes she had handled differently
She said Funke would call her to come and shoot movies at her house in Magodo, but she often refused to pick up her calls.
According to Bunmi, Funke also encouraged her to join the industry fully at the time, but she turned down the opportunity.
Bunmi said she did not take the opportunity because of her own reservations about the industry and some of the things she had heard about it.
During a conversation on Biola Adebayo’s podcast, Bunmi said:
“I didn’t know Funke would go this far. She was the one who took me to Odunfa. She used to come to my house in Magodo to shoot. She even said ‘Bummi, come join us.’
“But I was proud and judgmental. I heard stories about the Yoruba industry and I pulled back. Now I can’t even see her back.
“That was my big opportunity and I blew it. Life has taught me humility the hard way.
”I’m sorry Funke. I’m back in the industry and I’m open to work with you.”
