Bobby Maris, the former husband of Nollywood actress Uche Ogbodo, is making a return to the music scene with an upcoming EP, marking another step in his career as a recording artiste.
Maris announced the project on social media, describing it as a body of work that tells stories through rhythm, soul and emotion. He encouraged his fans to anticipate the project as he prepares to reconnect with audiences through his music.
He said:
“Glad to share my upcoming project with ya’ll !😃, my first EP, together we tell the stories through rhythm, soul and emotions. Queue up for me, and let’s get locked in.”
According to Maris, the project will explore themes including untold stories, expectations, betrayal, love, peace and happiness. He also described the project as an expression of his experiences and a way of welcoming listeners into his world.
“The stories untold, the expectations, the betrayal, the love ❤️, are all part of this wonderful peace of art. Welcome to my world guys ! Our world ! Here we Radiate Love ❤️, Peace, and Happiness. #roborobo”, he stated.
The announcement comes after his marriage to actress Uche Ogbodo ended.
Rather than presenting music as an entirely new career, Maris is returning to an interest he has pursued previously, with the upcoming EP signalling a renewed commitment to his music career and a fresh phase in his journey as an artiste.
The project also gives him an opportunity to reconnect with music audiences while sharing stories around love, expectations, betrayal and personal experiences. However, Maris has not stated that the themes in the EP are specifically connected to his former marriage.
