The Minister of Works, Dave Umahi, has ordered the reopening of the Independence Bridge in Lagos for public use following overnight restoration efforts
Umahi, who personally reopened the bridge on Friday, told journalists that engineers worked through the night to make the bridge safe for traffic
. He assured that while the current repairs are temporary, comprehensive and permanent reconstruction work will begin within the next three weeks.
