Veteran actress Bukky Wright has spoken about her relationship with fellow actress Toyin Abraham, recalling the first time they met and expressing pride in how far the younger star has come.
Looking back on those early days, Bukky Wright said Toyin left a lasting impression on her because of her quiet and humble nature. According to the actress, those qualities inspired her to offer support at a time when Toyin was just finding her feet.
Reflecting on that period, she said:
“The very first day l met Toyin Abraham she looks so timid and Naive which made me to like her and l thank God that l helped her then”, she noted.
Bukky Wright went on to praise Toyin for always recognizing the role she played in her journey into the film industry. She said the actress has never failed to acknowledge her contribution and that seeing Toyin’s achievements today gives her a deep sense of fulfillment.
She added:
“Toyin is really making me proud and she has never denied the fact that l was the person that brought her into the movie industry and l am part of her success story today.”
The actress also revealed that Toyin is not the only entertainer she has helped over the years. According to her, several people entered the movie industry through her support, although not everyone has chosen to acknowledge the help they received.
Without mentioning anyone by name, Bukky Wright admitted that while some people have overlooked her contributions, she holds no resentment and remains grateful.
“I have so many people that came into the industry through me that Don’t even acknowledge all l did for them then. Out of all the people I brought to the industry, only Toyin credits me”, she stated.
