Nigerian rapper Vector has voiced concern over the increasing cases of insecurity across the country, warning that frequent exposure to such incidents could be changing how people respond to them.
Reflecting on the situation, the entertainer wondered whether society is gradually becoming accustomed to disturbing reports that once sparked widespread outrage.
“Are we being intentionally dehumanised?” he asked.
Drawing from past experiences, Vector recalled periods when residents in some neighbourhoods relied on collective action to safeguard themselves during difficult times.
He suggested that stronger awareness at the community level could help people stay alert amid growing security concerns.
He also expressed dissatisfaction with the direction of the country, questioning why many of the challenges affecting citizens remain unresolved.
