VeryDarkMan has stirred controversy on social media after releasing a video allegedly exposing gospel singer Mercy Chinwo’s actions in her dispute with former record label boss, Eezee Tee
Known for his outspoken nature, the media personality claimed to have thoroughly investigated the conflict, expressing disappointment in Mercy Chinwo and her team.
He accused them of hiding behind Christianity while engaging in questionable dealings.
VeryDarkMan said that Eezee Tee withheld Mercy Chinwo’s royalties due to a breach of contract, which included secretly booking shows and failing to remit earnings.
He also alleged that she refused to perform at label-organized events, leading to refunds and sparking tensions between both parties.
The situation escalated when Mercy Chinwo petitioned the EFCC, accusing Eezee Tee of attempting to seize her royalties.
VeryDarkMan revealed that the case was moved from Lagos to Ilorin, where Eezee Tee was detained for nine days after refusing to comply with an investigator’s demands.
Eventually, Eezee Tee agreed to release $274,000 in royalties but insisted that Mercy Chinwo account for undisclosed earnings from unauthorized performances.
VDM claimed she reported making only $3,500 but resisted an audit.
He further alleged that the EFCC pressured Eezee Tee to transfer Mercy Chinwo’s entire music catalog to her, but he refused.
Sharing the video, VDM challenged Mercy Chinwo to deny his claims or take legal action, expressing disappointment in her conduct.
He captioned:
