In a statement released on Thursday, Olayinka described the report as a “tissue of lies” and a “malicious falsehood” orchestrated by individuals he said were bent on defaming the minister.

“Not even a single plot of land has been allocated to any of the Minister’s children,” Olayinka stated. “In Asokoro and Maitama of today, where can the FCT Minister see 2,082 hectares of land to allocate to anyone?”

He challenged the publisher of the report to provide evidence of any land allocation in the name of the minister’s children, accusing the source of spreading “malicious and bitter” fabrications.

Olayinka acknowledged that a Right of Occupancy was issued to JOAQ Farms and Estate Limited for agricultural use in Bwari Area Council, clarifying that the company is a duly registered Nigerian entity.

“So what is wrong with a farmer getting land allocation strictly for the purpose of agriculture?” he asked.

He further noted that while it is within the rights of the minister or his family to own land anywhere in the country if all legal requirements are met, no such allocation had been made to his children.

“The publication claiming that the FCT Minister allocated 2,082 hectares of land to his son is false and should be disregarded,” he concluded.
