Wizkid becomes 1st African artist To hit 8 Billion spotify streams

 Wizkid, has made history as the first African artist to surpass 8 billion streams on Spotify

This achievement includes both his lead and featured tracks.

His collaboration with Canadian superstar Drake on the global hit One Dance remains his most-streamed track on the platform, boasting over 2 billion streams. The song also holds a Guinness World Record as the first single to reach 1 billion streams on Spotify.

Wizkid’s most-streamed album is the deluxe edition of his fourth studio project, Made In Lagos, which has accumulated nearly a billion streams.

In comparison, Burna Boy has achieved 7.2 billion streams on Spotify, securing his position as the second most-streamed African artist. Additionally, Burna Boy holds the title of the most-followed Afrobeats artist on the platform.
