The family of comedian Wofai Fada, The Ewa Family have finally responded to a fast press statement released by The Cole Family of Victoria Island, Lagos, distancing themselves from the comedian’s marriage to their son, Taiwo Cole
Below is a press statement the Ewa family just put out;
”The Cole Family of Victoria Island, Lagos, is indeed a great and prestigious family, in Nigeria.
This fact, is truly acknowledged by the Ewa Family of Ugep, Cross River State.
But, it’s important, in the prevailing circumstance, for the Cole Family to know that Ewa Family, is a great family in Ugep.
Wofai, is a progeny of the Ewa Family. It’s therefore ludicrous for anyone to go to the media, just to disparage the lofty image of wofai.
An image attained through determination, hardwork and resilience.
The Ewa Family does not intend to join issues with the Cole Family, but wish to state that absence of decorum in their publication, is a low point and therefore debasing. For the purpose of clarity,
I hereby state that: (1) Wofai is 33years old. Even her immediate elder sister is not up to 38.
(2) The mother of Taiwo, Wofai’s husband, was present at the traditional marriage in Ugep.
(3) Taiwo’s father, Engr. Cole, knew about the marriage plans, and even called and promised coming to Ugep to see me. But, changed his mind at the last minute.
The spurious claim of the lack of information and awareness about the marriage is borne out of ethnic sentiments.
