Workers Also Take To The Streets In Benue Over Unpaid Salaries

    Over 800 employees of Obi Local Government Area of Benue State on Monday and Tuesday took to the streets  to protest their 14 months non-payment of salaries.

    The workers embarked on the peaceful demonstration within and outside Obarike-Ito, headquarters of the local government, led by Ebah Dominin.

    They displayed placards carrying inscriptions such as, “We are not ghost workers”, “We were employed in 2010” and “Pay us our bailout and arrears of salaries,” as market women also joined in the protest asking the chairman to be human and pay up.
