Nollywood actress Funmi Awelewa has finally responded to the allegations levelled against her by two former staff members, insisting that one of them, identified as Samad, was dismissed for theft and misconduct, not because she owed him salaries.
The actress has been at the centre of controversy in recent weeks following separate accusations from social media personality Mandykiss and a former employee who claimed she worked for Funmi for just 16 days without receiving payment.
Now, another ex-worker, Samad, has taken to TikTok to accuse the actress of owing him money and mistreating staff.

Reacting to the allegations, Funmi denied the claims and accused Samad of stealing from her business shortly after he was employed.
According to the actress, Samad allegedly used his personal bank account to receive payments meant for her business during his first week on the job, claiming he was unfamiliar with the company’s official account details.
Funmi further alleged that she eventually fired him because of his smoking habit and other issues, revealing that his mother and guarantor pleaded with her not to pursue legal action.
“I don’t want to say much about Victoria because my head is already fighting for me.
“But Samad, even if everyone called me out, it shouldn’t be you. You stole from my store,” she said.
“You used your personal bank account to collect money the first week you resumed because you said you didn’t know the business account. I sent those voice notes to you because you were too dvll,” she stated.
“I sacked you because of smok!ng. Smoking has rv!ned your life. Your mother and guarantor begged me not to take legal action against you,” she said.
She added that Samad only worked for her between September and October last year and questioned why he waited until now to make the allegations.
The actress also claimed that Samad later expressed interest in becoming a tailor, but ended up damaging a customer’s clothes before disappearing.
“You worked for me from September to October last year, but you’re only calling me out now in June, claiming I owe you money. You weren’t even working for me and I was still paying you. Samad, what you did is a criminal offense,” she said.
“You said you wanted to quit sales rep and become a tailor, and I agreed. Then you rv!ned my customer’s clothes and ran away. Now you’re online saying I thrften people with police?” she added.
