Yul Edochie has raised a concern about people using their phones while they are in church during mass or service.
He said it is difficult to understand why someone would struggle to stay away from their phone for just an hour while worshipping and listening to the word of God.
He compared it to situations where people are asked to surrender their phones before meeting important government officials, saying they are usually willing to stay without their phones for hours.
Taking to his page, Yul wrote:
“It’s sad seeing people who go to church and be pressing their phones inside the church while mass or service is going on. You mean you can’t stay off your phone for an hour in respect to God? If you go to see a Governor or President, your phones will be taken from you for hours and you’ll be ok with it. But while you’re in the presence of our Creator, you can’t put off your phone and listen to His word? Really sad.”
