A cholera outbreak in Zanzibar has killed at least 45 people since March, a health official has said.
About 3,000 people had been admitted to hospital with cholera, added Muhammed Dahoma, the director of disease prevention at the health ministry.
The Government has now taken steps to stem the outbreak, including banning the sale of food and juices in open areas.
