Grace Lewis Shaw, a vibrant 22-year-old from Liverpool, passed away after waking up with a headache.
It’s believed she accidentally overdosed on her mother’s morphine while seeking relief. Grace, described as “funny” and “cheeky,” was found unresponsive on her mother’s sofa. Despite efforts, she couldn’t be revived.
Grace’s family remembers her as the “life and soul of the party,” always willing to help others. They express gratitude to Break Free, a support service that aided her in battling a cannabis addiction. Grace’s step-mom fondly recalls their lively Sunday gatherings. The family, devastated by their loss, finds solace in remembering Grace’s bright smile and zest for life.
The coroner’s verdict of death by misadventure underscores the heartbreaking nature of Grace’s passing. Though gone, she leaves behind cherished memories and a reminder of the importance of support services in battling addiction.
