The gospel music community is mourning the loss of Aduke Ajayi, popularly known as Aduke Gold, a rising star who tragically passed away

Fellow gospel artiste Esther Igbekele shared the news on social media, posting a heartfelt tribute with Aduke Gold’s picture and the caption: “A general has fallen. RIP.”
Aduke Gold’s passing comes shortly after the death of another prominent gospel singer, Egbin Orun, who died on April 28, 2024.
Despite the competitive nature of the industry, Aduke Gold made a significant impact with her soul-lifting songs and passion for her craft, earning a growing fanbase and popularity.

Her breakthrough single, “Nitori Ogo” (translated as “Because of Glory”), featured on her popular eight-track album, gained widespread acclaim on social media.
Aduke Gold’s inspiring journey, marked by early struggles, was shared on Instagram, where she revealed her humble beginnings selling slippers, yam, and fried fish, and her experiences with hardship, which shaped her music career.
Aduke Gold’s academic achievements were equally impressive, holding a degree in History and International Relations from Lagos State University, a higher degree in Child Psychology, and numerous other qualifications in Special Education, Music, and more.
Her passion extended beyond music, focusing on working with children with special needs, including autism, cerebral palsy, and dyslexia. Her legacy will be deeply missed.
