Davido reveals inspiration behind album naming ‘5ive’

Renowned singer Davido has shared the story behind the title of his highly anticipated fifth studio album, ‘5ive’, during a Twitch stream appearance hosted by Cruel Santino

The album’s title, ‘5ive’, is a nod to the fact that this is Davido’s fifth studio album.

Following the success of his ‘Time Trilogy’ – comprising ‘A Good Time’, ‘A Better Time’, and ‘Timeless’ – Davido felt it was time to embark on a new musical chapter.

While the title may seem straightforward, Davido hinted that delving deeper into the significance of the number 5 could reveal a richer meaning.

As fans eagerly await the album’s release on April 18th, Davido has teased his audience with a new single, ‘Be There Still’, featuring an infectious Amapiano log drum fusion.
