Hollywood is uniting behind the loved ones of Eric Dane after the actor’s tragic passing from ALS, as friends and colleagues step up to support his family during an unimaginably tough time.
According to TMZ, a GoFundMe launched in the wake of Eric’s death carries the same heartfelt message his family shared when announcing his passing.
In it, they revealed that his illness “progressed far more quickly than anyone could have imagined,” and that he leaves behind his devoted wife, Rebecca, and their two teenage daughters, Billie and Georgia.
The tribute makes a simple, moving appeal:
“Any contribution, no matter the size, will help provide stability during this incredibly difficult time,”
with all proceeds earmarked for the future care and well‑being of his girls.
Among those making a major impact is Sam Levinson, the creator of Euphoria one of Dane’s final TV roles who generously donated $27,000 to the fundraiser.
Despite his own health struggles, Eric never lost his commitment to helping others fighting ALS.
Organizers behind the fundraiser, identified as “Friends of the Dane Family,” say he had become a passionate advocate for the ALS community in his final years.
Now, Eric’s legacy stretches far beyond his memorable performances honoring not just his craft, but the courage, compassion, and strength he showed off‑camera.
