Mohbad’s friend, Prime Boy, has publicly criticized the family of the late singer, alleging that they misappropriated funds donated by Nigerians after the musician’s de.ath
Prime Boy made the remarks during a protest in Lagos, where he and other demonstrators carried placards to draw attention to the issue.

He accused Mohbad’s family of enjoying the donations while the late singer remained unburied three years after his death in 2023.
“Mohbad has not been buried after three years. His family, brother and sisters, are enjoying the money people donated. I suffered for this. Mohbad’s family, do the right thing. Nigerian government, do the right thing,” Prime Boy said in one of the videos shared online.
During the protest, Prime Boy also recounted the difficulties he faced with the police in the aftermath of Mohbad’s passing. He called on law enforcement to officially clear his name, insisting he is not responsible for Mohbad’s death.
“The police should post that I am innocent and tell me sorry. I am not asking for much,” he said.
Prime Boy was among several public figures interrogated by authorities following Mohbad’s de.ath.
Three years on, the late singer remains unburied, fueling ongoing public outcry and protests over both the handling of the funds and the circumstances surrounding his demise.
