Kiekie says her husband is bot funny, explains Why she keeps him off her content

Nigerian actress and content creator Bukunmi Adeaga Ilori, widely known as Kiekie, has shared how she maintains a clear distinction between her personal life and her work.

Speaking at The Creative Blueprint 2.0, Kiekie explained why her husband, Tunji Ilori, does not appear in her content. According to her, “he is not funny.”

She noted that her decision is based on the nature of her brand, which is centered on comedy.

Kiekie, however, occasionally features her daughter, Nola, explaining that “she is made for the camera.”

She added that this is done in moderation, as she only creates content with her during school breaks.

Emphasizing the importance of boundaries, she said,

“I have created a very thick line between what is personal to me as Oluwabukunmi Adeaga Ilori and what is personal to my brand as Kiekie.”

She further explained, “What are the elements of my brand? Event and TV host, actor, and content creator. What is my content? Comic.”

Kiekie also advised content creators to be mindful when involving family members in their work.

“We overmilk viral moments until it becomes annoying. And that is where oversharing comes in,” she added.
