Uriel Oputa has strongly criticised Blessing Okoro, popularly known as Blessing CEO, over her claim of being diagnosed with “stage 4” of an illness believed to be cancer
In an emotional outburst shared online, Uriel condemned what she described as the careless use of such a serious condition, questioning the lack of clarity in Blessing’s statement. She pointed out that the post only mentioned “stage 4” without clearly stating cancer or providing any proper explanation.

“I CAN’T BELIEVE WE’RE ACTUALLY PLAYING AROUND WITH SOMETHING LIKE CANCER. ALL I SAW WAS ‘STAGE 4.’ NO DEFINITION, NO CLARITY, NOTHING EXPLAINED—JUST THROWN OUT THERE SO LOOSELY. THERE WASN’T EVEN CANCER WRITTEN, JUST STAGE 4.”
Despite her anger, Uriel said she still empathises if the situation is genuine, noting that no one deserves harsh reactions over such a serious health issue. However, she warned that if the claim turns out to be false, it would be deeply troubling.
“AND EVEN WITH THAT, IF THIS IS TRUE, THEN MY HEART GENUINELY GOES OUT TO YOU… BUT IF THIS IS NOT TRUE… THEN THIS IS ACTUALLY DISTURBING.”
Drawing from personal experience, Uriel revealed that the issue hit close to home, as her mother is currently battling breast cancer. This, she said, is why she finds the situation particularly upsetting.
“AS SOMEONE WHOSE MOTHER WAS DIAGNOSED WITH BREAST CANCER LAST YEAR, I TAKE THIS PERSONALLY. THIS IS NOT CONTENT. THIS IS REAL LIFE.”
She stressed that illnesses like cancer should never be used for attention or engagement, reminding the public of its deadly impact globally. She concluded by sending prayers if the diagnosis is real, but maintained that making false claims about such a condition is unacceptable.
