The Federal Government has given the green light for an upward review of peculiar allowances and additional welfare packages for civil servants
Speaking at a press briefing in Abuja on Friday, the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Didi Walson-Jack, said the move is aimed at improving workers’ take-home pay and strengthening morale across the public sector.
She explained that the adjustment covers employees under the Consolidated Public Service Salary Structure (CONPSS) as well as those on the Consolidated Research and Allied Institutions Salary Structure (CONRAISS), ensuring the benefits cut across different arms of the service.
Walson-Jack noted that the revised allowances have been designed to apply to all grade levels, meaning both junior and senior officers will see an increase in their overall earnings.
