Comedian Bovi and South African actress Nomzamo Mbatha today thrilled guests at the 2026 edition of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards as they recreated the moment involving actresses Funke Akindele and Toyin Abraham
While hosting a segment during the ceremony, the pair recreated the much-talked-about scene.

In the playful performance, Nomzamo took on the role of Funke Akindele, while Bovi acted as Toyin Abraham, joking about the controversy that had dominated social media discussions.
“Aunty, aunty Funke… mtcheeww. If I ever present award to you, call me bastard,” Bovi joked, drawing loud laughter from the audience.
The original clip surfaced during the premiere of The Return of Arinzo, where Toyin Abraham was seen exchanging greetings with actresses including Iyabo Ojo and Mercy Aigbe before approaching Funke Akindele, who snubbed her.
