Nigerian fashion entrepreneur Toyin Lawani has shared her frustration over the rising cost of living, using a recent suya purchase as an example of how expensive things have become.
According to Toyin, she spent N17,000 on suya but was shocked by the quantity she received.
“I bought Suya 17k and they gave me 11 squares cube pieces, 5k cannot even cook soup for a family anymore, there’s no way your staff or anyone won’t steal from you this time, something needs to be done asap cos people will soon start entering each others houses to steal,” she said.
The celebrity stylist said the increasing cost of food and other basic needs is putting a lot of pressure on people.
She also expressed concern that the worsening economic situation could push some individuals into desperate actions if urgent steps are not taken to address the hardship many Nigerians are facing.
