Popular Nigerian cleric Ezekiel Dachomo has raised questions over the circumstances surrounding the de.ath of retired Major General Abubakar Rabe, who died while in bandits’ captivity in Katsina State.
Reacting to the development, the cleric wondered how the deceased officer’s body was recovered and how authorities arrived at the conclusion that he died from complications related to diabetes and hypertension.
“How did the kidnappers release the body of the late General to the Katsina State Government for burial and how did the state government know he died of diabetes and high BP without autopsy? The vengeance of God is near,” Dachomo said.
His comments come days after the Katsina State Government announced that the retired military officer di.ed while in captivity, attributing his de.ath to health complications.
The late general was a.bducted on May 30 along the Marabar Musawa–Kafinsoli road in Matazu Local Government Area while travelling with his wife and driver.
