Social media commentator GehGeh has slammed Nollywood actor Yul Edochie over claims surrounding his role in supporting children belonging to actress Judy Austin from her previous marriage to Emmanuel Obasi.
He specifically criticised the idea of Yul taking full responsibility for children he believes are not biologically his, especially while their father is still alive and capable of providing for them.
“The worst mistake you can make as a man is to carry the responsibility of another man’s child when the man is still alive. Don’t try that thing. It won’t end well for you, especially when the man is still ready and willing to be part of those children’s lives, but the woman denied him access.”
He added that men often overestimate their place in relationships and end up taking on emotional and financial burdens they cannot control.
“The mistake most men make is that they overrate themselves in the life of a woman. You’re not more special than the previous man oo. Be careful.”
GehGeh further argued that fame or status does not change relationship outcomes, pointing to examples of high-profile breakups.
“They left Bill Gates, they left Zuckerberg. These are men of power, influence, connection, and fame. Women left them too. You’re not special in the life of a woman.”
He also shared his personal philosophy on relationships and fatherhood, saying he prefers to have children with different partners rather than one woman.
“Each woman will have one child for me, and I know there is no way I will have issues with all of them…”
He ended by stressing that men should be cautious about taking on responsibilities that are not originally theirs, warning that it can lead to unnecessary problems down the line.
