Peller has fired back at rapper YCee after the musician made comments that mocked his intelligence while discussing the state of education and youth culture in Nigeria
Speaking during an interview, YCee lamented what he described as the decline in the celebration of academic excellence, arguing that society now rewards ignorance rather than education.
“Nigerian society is no longer celebrating academic excellence. It’s not even Yahøø culture anymore; now we have a ‘Peller culture.’ This ‘Olodo’ uprising we are witnessing is terrible.
“It feels like we are trying so hard to accommodate ignorance so people won’t feel bad, and now they seem to be the majority. The massive a.ttack on Nigeria’s educational system is alarming, aside from kidna.ppings and Bøko Haram a.ttacks,” YCee said.
Reacting to the statement, Peller expressed disappointment with the rapper, suggesting that some veterans in the entertainment industry do not deserve the respect they often demand from younger people.
“Some OG ehn there no deserve respect this kind Ycee man now see watin elderly man dey talk una wey dey bring music promotion to olodo,” Peller wrote.
