Isaac Fayose has questioned the circumstances surrounding the de.aths recorded during the Osun election, saying those who lost their lives did so in support of Governor Ademola Adeleke
Fayose stated that the victims believed they were defending Adeleke against political forces they considered oppressive.
He said their sacrifice now raises questions, given the political alliances surrounding the governor and his family.
In his recent post, he said:
“28 people d!ed for Adeleke in Osun state, so they won’t take the state from him. The Adelekes now are with the oppressors they fought, those people just d!ed for nothing”.
His comments come against the backdrop of Adeleke’s recent political relationship with President Bola Tinubu.
Adeleke also immediately endorsed President Tinubu for a second term immediately after his victory. He said the president represents the South-West and that supporting his re-election is in the region’s interest.
Adeleke also met with Nyesom Wike in Abuja after a meeting with President Tinubu.
