The de.ath of a 40-year-old businessman, Ogbeni Goggo, has left his family in shock after he was reportedly found de.ad in Delta State.
Goggo had reportedly borrowed ₦1.8 million to start a business, but things did not turn out as he had hoped. According to reports, the financial difficulties that followed became a major source of concern for him.
On Wednesday, August 26, he sent messages to some of his friends and family members, reportedly telling them that he was tired of life and wanted to end it.
He later failed to return home that night. His wife, who became concerned when she could not reach him, contacted relatives and began looking for him. Attempts to locate him continued through Thursday without success.
The search took another turn on Friday morning when his wife went to the Ebrumede Police Station in Uvwie Local Government Area to report him missing.
While she was there, officers reportedly showed her a photograph of a man who had been found de.ad around the Ebrumede Flyover/DSC Roundabout. She identified the deceased as her husband.
It was later reported that some people had seen Goggo after he allegedly ingested Sniper and tried to get help for him. He reportedly collapsed and began jerking before the police were contacted.
His remains were subsequently taken to a morgue in Agbaro.
Goggo had been married for three years and had no child. His de.ath has reportedly left his wife, family members and friends devastated, coming after a period in which he was said to have been struggling with the failure of the business he had borrowed money to finance.
