Rapper Phenom says a painful heartbreak pushed him into a lifestyle that saw him sl.eep with about 200 women in a year for two consecutive years. During that period, he contracted gonorrhea eight times and constantly worried that he might have H!V.
Speaking in an interview, he explained that the heartbreak changed his behaviour, leaving him caught up in a cycle of casual relationships and fear about his health.
He said:
“It was one heartbreak, actually, that made me just go crazy. It was 200 girls in a year at the time. So I did that for like two years straight”.
“It was so bad. I didn’t even have peace of mind. I felt like I had HIV, man. If I should sneeze, I’ll be like, ‘Hey, I don carry something”.
Phenom also said he contracted gonorrhea eight times within two years. According to him, the infections became so frequent that he could recognise the symptoms without needing someone else to tell him what was wrong.
“In two years, I had gonorrhea eight times. It was crazy. It was so bad that when I go to the pharmacist, I’ll tell them I have gonorrhea. They’ll say, ‘How did you know?’ I could diagnose myself.
“But I met somebody that told me, like, ‘Oh, for you to attain certain things, you need to let go of certain things.’ And I got introduced to God,” he recounted.
Phenom said his change in lifestyle included staying away from se.x for about 10 years before getting married in 2026. He also revealed that he and his wife waited until their wedding night before having se.x.
“I also went celibate for like 10 years before I got married. And I got married this year as well. So, I didn’t have s+x with my wife until our wedding night,” he stated.
He explained that the change was not limited to his se.x life, saying his relationship with God grew stronger and other aspects of his life also changed.
