I Am Not Interested In Becoming PDP’s Next Chairman, But Zone It To South West- George

    Chief Bode George, a former Deputy National Chairman of   the
    Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has disclosed that he is not interested
    in being the next chairman of the party, but urged the party leaders to do the
    right thing like their founding fathers have laid, and zone the chairmanship to
    South West now, because it has been the only zone who hasn’t ruled PDP since
    1999.
    George who spoke to Newsmen shortly after a trip from overseas
    in his address entitled, ‘Our Party At Crossroads’, advised the interim National
    Chairman, Senator Ali Modu Sherrif to honour hi words by handing over to the
    elected chairman come May 21, 2016.
    Faulting the speculations of people who think he will be
    running for the race, George said;
    ‘I have no plan, no ambition, slide or straightforward
    looking for it’. Continue…

    Elaborating more on zoning the chairmanship to South West, George
    said;

    “On the issue of national chairmanship, based on the spirit
    of equity and fairness which is the foundation and principle upon which our
    party was build by our founding fathers, the South West deserves the national
    chairmanship now. This is the right and proper thing which must be done. The
    South West is a significant zone for the Nigeria federation which cannot and
    must not be treated with levity.”
