Several Nigerians who recently returned from South Africa have been received at the headquarters of the Omega Power Ministries (OPM) in Port Harcourt, where they were provided temporary accommodation, medical care, and essential supplies.
The group arrived in Nigeria on 12 June 2026 and was welcomed by Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere, who shared updates about their situation on his official page.
Taking to his page, the OPM founder broke the update and wrote:
“South African Returnees Have Arrived at OPM Free Estate, Port Harcourt.
As I just returned to Nigeria yesterday, today, 12th June 2026, some of the South African returnees have arrived.
If you hear their experiences, you will shed tears. Some lost their husbands, while others have spent up to 14 years without returning to Nigeria. Sadly, many of them do not own a single house in Nigeria.
Their stories are heartbreaking, and I will soon be sharing their video interviews.
But first, let us talk about their arrival…”
Following their arrival at the church headquarters, the returnees were moved to one of the OPM estates in Port Harcourt, where they are currently being temporarily accommodated while additional housing facilities are being completed.
They were later taken to the OPM Free Hospital for medical examinations, where several health concerns were identified and follow-up treatment arranged.
The families were also fed through the hospital’s internal restaurant and provided with essential items, including food supplies, cooking materials, and household necessities. Tailors were brought in to take measurements for school uniforms for the children ahead of their enrollment in OPM Free Schools.
According to the ministry, the children are expected to resume classes on Monday as part of the reintegration program.
