Social media influencer Ashmusy has responded to reality TV star Phyna’s allegations that she tried to have her removed from an upcoming boxing match, despite being the one who brought her into the event.
Ashmusy, in a statement addressing the controversy, denied asking the organisers to drop Phyna or attempting to undermine her, saying she had her reasons for preferring another opponent.
She wrote:
“I’d rather not say anything but that kind of silence has let Too many narratives fly far in the past. I don’t want to be in that space anymore so this is the first and last I’ll say.
“Phyna I never asked anyone to drop you, neither did I advocate for your downfall in any way. You approached me and I sincerely wasn’t sure, I have been contemplating since then till date hence my delayed conclusion.
“However, I did mention to them that ‘if at all I’ll do it, I’d rather fight with someone else’ not out of spite, I had my reasons which Included that I was cool with you and wasn’t comfortable fighting you.
“I asked the organizers if this was allowed and they gave me permission to find another match. (I was still unsure and busy with my trip while at this)
“However I understand your pov but that wasn’t my intent at all. As of now, I am completely uninterested in the match and I have opted out completely.
“I wish you the very best in everything and do not intend to fight or banter regarding this or anything else.THANKYOU”
Ashmusy’s response comes after Phyna accused her of trying to replace her in the boxing match, claiming that she had spent months communicating with the organisers and was the one who introduced Ashmusy to them as a potential opponent.
