Baltimore Ravens cornerback Tray Walker has been critically injured when his motorcycle crashed with an SUV in Miami on Thursday night, police said.
Walker, 23, was taken to a trauma center following the crash at Northwest 21st Avenue and Northwest 75th Street, Miami-Dade police told WTVJ.
Walker was riding an off-road dirt bike without a helmet or headlights around 8 p.m., when he collided with a Ford Escape SUV at an intersection. He was wearing dark clothing, including a Ravens jersey.
The woman driving the SUV was however unhurt. Police said neither drugs nor alcohol appeared to be factors in the crash. The Ravens have also confirmed in a statement that Walker is in Jackson Memorial Hospital.
Motorcycles, including dirt bikes, are required to have headlights and a license plate in the US.
