A Federal High Court in Abuja today ordered former chief of
defence staff, Air Marshal Alex Badeh to be remanded in Kuje Prison until Thursday,
when his bail application will be heard. The court also fixed 14 March for the
beginning of his trial.

Badeh is facing a 10-point charge of theft and corruption,
according to an indictment by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission and
the stolen money is said to belong to the Nigerian Air Force.
