Morgan DMW apologizes to Davido’s lookalike after physically assaulting him

Davido’s bodyguard, Morgan DMW, has issued a public apology to Davido’s lookalike, popularly known as mini Dave, following an altercation that occurred while the singer was heading to skit maker Carter Efe’s studio

The incident, which was captured and circulated online, showed Morgan physically confronting mini Dave after he allegedly attempted to block Davido’s movement as the entourage made its way out of the location.

The footage sparked backlash on social media, with many users condemning the bodyguard’s actions.

Reacting to the controversy, Morgan DMW first defended himself in an Instagram story, where he accused mini Dave of deliberately obstructing their exit under the guise of content creation.

“You came to Cater Efe’s show as a so-called content creator. Why weren’t you already in his house before we arrived? And why were you trying to block our only exit? Is Cater Efe’s house a burial ground? These are the exact reasons you got booted like that. Now I’m on blogs because of your emotional blackmail.

All I’ll say is enjoy the moment while it lasts.

I hope you meet David one day sha.”

However, in a follow-up post, Morgan softened his stance and offered a direct apology to mini Dave, stressing that his actions were not intentional and were driven by security concerns.

“@mini_dave_ I’m really sorry about what happened last night. Please believe me, it wasn’t intentional. I honestly don’t even know you personally. I was just trying to make sure David was safe, especially with how packed the place was and everything going on. Abeg, no vex.”

Mini Dave later acknowledged and accepted the apology by reposting Morgan’s message on his own Instagram story, signaling an end to the online dispute.
