VeryDarkMan has reacted to the arrest of DJ Chicken, saying he understands why the authorities decided to step in, even though he doesn’t believe the entertainer was capable of carrying out the t.hreat he made
VDM said the government could not simply ignore a statement like that because it could encourage others to make even more serious threats in the future.
“What does the government want to use Dj chicken to do, you go waste time say na Dj chicken you wan arrest, i understand the government because if you give Dj chicken a free pass someone will say worse tomorrow saying you will Unalive the president son is a criminal offense, it’s clear he did it for attention, he can’t hurt anybody, just mouth”, he said.
According to him, making a thr.eat against the president’s son is something the authorities have to take seriously, regardless of who says it.
He added that while DJ Chicken’s words crossed the line, he believes the content creator was simply chasing attention rather than planning to act on what he said.
Still, VDM maintained that the law has to be applied in situations like this to discourage similar statements from others, even as he insisted that DJ Chicken is “just mouth” and not someone he believes would actually hurt anybody.
DJ Chicken was arrested after a video surfaced in which he thr.eatened Seyi Tinubu, saying that if President Bola Tinubu won the election, he would k!ll the President’s son. The video was later deleted, but it drew the attention of security authorities, leading to his arrest in Lagos.
