The Department of State Services (DSS) has issued a warning to individuals and groups planning a nationwide protest, urging them to abandon their plans and avoid any form of violence, anarchy, and destruction
In a statement, the DSS revealed that while peaceful protests are a democratic right, they have uncovered a sinister plot by some elements to infiltrate the protest and cause chaos and extreme violence.
According to Channels TV, the Service believes the plot is politically motivated, aiming to discredit the government and achieve regime change.
The DSS has identified the funding sources, sponsors, and collaborators behind the plot and is warning parents, guardians, and institutional heads to advise their children and wards not to participate in the protest.
The Service will work with other security agencies to maintain peace and will use legitimate methods to achieve this, if necessary.
