Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has disclosed that he hopes to return to school and obtain a university degree after bringing his football career to an end
Speaking in an interview, the Galatasaray forward said that although football has transformed his life, education remains a personal ambition he intends to pursue after retirement.

The 27-year-old explained that football careers are short-lived, making it necessary for players to plan for life beyond the game.
Osimhen said earning a degree would be more than an academic achievement, adding that it would allow him to inspire younger people to value education.
He said:
“As an adult, not everything I learned in school. There are some kinds of life lessons you encounter through life’s journey,” Osimhen said.
“For me, it would be an amazing thing to also try to get a degree, which I’m still considering because football, you won’t play for so long, probably 20, 25 years, and then you’re done.”
“In as much as I have a lot of things to fall back to when I’m done, I think it’s still important for me to set an example, to set a standard for the younger generation.”
He also urged those who had to leave school because of financial or personal difficulties not to give up on their education.
“Even though you dropped out due to some kind of challenges you have, it’s something you can always go back to. School is always there,” he said.
