Three Super Eagles stars—Victor Osimhen, Ademola Lookman, and Calvin Bassey—have been included in the Team of the Tournament at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations
Nigeria ended the competition in third place under head coach Eric Chelle. Osimhen delivered an impressive campaign, scoring four goals and providing two assists during the tournament.
Lookman stood out as one of the team’s key performers, contributing three goals and five assists across six matches. At the back, Bassey was a defensive mainstay, playing a crucial role in Nigeria’s solidity throughout the competition.
The Team of the Tournament was selected by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Technical Study Group.
