An update has emerged regarding the story of James, a mechanic from Calabar, who gained widespread attention for caring for his 7-month-old daughter, Blessing, at his workshop after his wife left due to mental health challenges
Following an outpouring of support and donations totaling N285,000, James’ wife has returned to Calabar with the help of her uncle, who responded to the public appeal.
According to Cornelius Ellah, who shared updates on the situation, James’ wife appeared calm and coherent, but James emphasized that her mental health challenges persist.
He has promised to seek professional help at the Psychiatric hospital.
The reunion has brought hope for Blessing to receive motherly care and attention, and for James to resume his work without the added responsibility of caring for their daughter alone.
