A young lady named Dominica, who claims to have been Mohbad’s close female friend, has revealed chilling details about the late singer’s struggles, including his brutal encounter with NDLEA officers, his battles with mental health, and deep tensions between him and his partner, Wunmi

Speaking in a sit-down interview with VeryDarkMan (VDM), Dominica explained how she first met Mohbad through her ex-boyfriend, who was one of the singer’s close friends. Recalling the day the NDLEA raided Marlian House, she said:
“I, my ex, Mohbad and Wunmi were at my ex’s place in VI that day. We were trying to beg Mohbad to forgive Wunmi because he said he didn’t want her again. As we stepped out to get smoke, someone called that Zino had been arrested by NDLEA. So we all rushed to the Marlian house.”
She said that when they got there, NDLEA officers locked them out, but Mohbad found a way to enter the compound.
“MOH told me to go live. Eventually we entered and saw Zino handcuffed. Mohbad was fighting them, saying they must not take Zino. Then Wunmi ran to one of the NDLEA officers, removed his cap and started fighting him. I started shouting at her to stop. Later, the officers dragged Zino and other boys into their bus and drove off. Moh told us to enter his car and we followed them.”
Dominica then described a terrifying moment at the estate gate:
“I called the estate gate not to let the bus pass. When NDLEA got to the gate, they started shooting up. They bashed Mohbad’s car three times. He got down in anger and started exchanging blows with them. Then they started hitting him with their g*n on his head. He was bleeding. They pushed him into their bus and kept beating him. Wunmi escaped after they beat her too.”
According to her, they were all taken to the NDLEA office, but Mohbad was released that same night because he had a show in Dubai the next day.
She continued:
“MOH was not okay after that. He was admitted at a hospital. From there, my ex and his dad took him to Aro (a psychiatric hospital) because he kept saying his head wasn’t okay.”
Dominica also revealed troubling moments between Mohbad and Wunmi.
“Wunmi was in my house during that period. Mohbad didn’t want to talk to her. He told her, ‘Leave me, let me treat myself.’ One night she woke me up saying she wanted to go to Naira Marley’s house to tell him some things. I asked her, ‘Does that make sense? MOH already did a video saying Naira wanted to kill him,’ but she insisted, so I followed her.”
What happened at Naira Marley’s house left her stunned.
“When we got there, she started telling Naira Mohbad’s family secrets. She said they took MOH to Aro to finish him and that he needed help. Naira even called a doctor in the UK who said Moh should be brought to his hospital for six months mental treatment.”
However, the situation took another turn when Wunmi feared that Naira would tell Mohbad what she said.
“When we left, she was scared and then called MOH to lie that it was my ex who told Naira everything. That’s how issues started between MOH and my ex.”
Dominica also touched on substance use, noting:
“MOH wasn’t a heavy drinker but when he drank, he got aggressive. There was a time Wunmi called Naira to report Bella Shmurda was giving MOH ICE. She even told MOH’s dad the same thing. Wunmi herself was taking laughing gas at the time. I don’t know if she was smoking weed.”
Speaking about the viral video where Mohbad accused Naira Marley of wanting to kill him, Dominica said:
“MOH was not in a right frame of mind when he made that video. He later apologized to Naira. Even the one where he said, ‘If anything happens to me, Wunmi and her family will not have peace’ was from 2022. Someone sent it to me after a friend came to my house, but I don’t know who later leaked it after he died.”
Dominica’s testimony adds a haunting layer to Mohbad’s story — from physical abuse and mental health struggles to betrayal and manipulation within his closest circle.
